"Pears, is Brooklyn based Gary Morris whose home town is Cape Town, making music under different monickers (Lagos Disco Machine, Curlyfingers, Positive Face…) with varying approaches to propping it right, he seems to enjoy hums and buzzing concoct of Mika Vainio as much as never ceasing, attention grabbing traditional african music with its mesmerizing upbeat rhythms that leak through almost all present synthesis of mixtures with strong lilting sounds trembling immersed in celestial ecstasy from every corner. The experience of listening you might flow thru is that of pensive, but not heavily wrapped assortment of vintage peninsula breeze encrusted on your skin and the discovered, lost, hidden and recurrent feeling of simple being where u already was, captured by time that led you where the stars of your destiny abode in your chest. “Sterling Postures” spans less then 20 minutes in 9 tracks which blend praises and pulsing mercury gimmick the same way as would fossil ice cream ad allure you for a short Capetonian shore lookout, something that will chill you in your innermost sublime."
